More than 60 years have passed since John Tyson drove his battered truck to Chicago to deliver a load of 500 Arkansas chickens. Tyson heard that chickens were bringing a better price in northern markets, so he cashed in his savings and borrowed the rest of the money he needed to finance the trip. He sold the birds for a profit of $235, $220 of which he wired home to pay on his debts and buy another load of birds.

Out of that trip sprung the foundations of a company that would revolutionize the poultry industry. We invite you to walk through time and discover how the world's largest poultry company rose out of the soil of Northwest Arkansas.

Pay & Benefits

Solo Pay Package:
* Trainee ($300.00 per week)
* 0–1 year of experience start at $.2850 per mile; top out in 5 years at $.3500 per mile
* 1–3 years of experience start at $.2950 per mile; top out in 5 years at $.3500 per mile
* 3+ years of experience start at $.3200 per mile; in 1 year $.3400 permile and top in 5 years at $.3500 per mile

Team Pay Package:
* Trainee ($300.00 per week)
* 0–1 year of experience start at $.3150 per mile split; top out in 5 years at $.3750 per mile split
* 1–3 years of experience start at $.3350 per mile split; top out in 5 years at $.3750 per mile split
* 3+ years of experience start at $.3500 per mile split; top out in 5 years at $.3750 per mile split

Incentive Pay Package:
* All single trips less than 500 miles will be paid an additional $.03 per mile
* All single trips less than 250 miles will be paid an additional $.06 per mile

Other Pay:
* Eight paid holidays @ $70.00 per day
* Layover Pay: $70.00 after the first 24 hours
* Unloading Pay: Tyson pays for loading and unloading. Driver must locate a lumper and get fees approved by dispatch
* Drop & Pickup Pay: No pay for single drop or pickup. Multiple drop or pickup is $10.00 for the first two, and $15.00 for everyone thereafter

Average Time Out:
* Variable to your choice and company availability


Home Time:
* One day off for every week out on the road, to a maximum of 3 days off

Vacation:
* 1 week after 1 year
* 2 weeks after 2 years
* 3 weeks after 10 years
* 4 weeks after 20 years
* 5 weeks after 25 years

Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance
* 1 to 5 Years
Single coverage: $12 per week
Family coverage: $25 per week
$200 deductible per family member (maximum deductible per family: $600)
$1200 out-of-pocket per family member (maximum out-of-pocket per family: $2400)
Prescription card: $10 generic brand

Stock Plan
Drivers can start to contribute at the end of the 60-day probation.  Tyson will start to contribute after one year of service at $.50 cents on the dollar.  Drivers can contribute a maximum of 10 percent a week from their check.

401K Plan
Drivers can start to contribute at the end of the 60 day probation.  After one year of service Tyson will match dollar for dollar for the first 3 percent.  If the driver participates at 5 percent, Tyson will contribute 4 percent.  Four percent is the maximum for Tyson.  Drivers can contribute a maximum of 15 percent a week from their check.

Basic Life Insurance
One times your base annual earnings for team members in the Group Medical Plan.

Voluntary Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment
This coverage is available at low weekly rates.

Short Term Disability
Full time members with one year of service.

Voluntary Long Term Disability
Available to team members after one year of service at low weekly rates.

Passenger Program
For spouse or relatives over 16 years of age.

Uniform
Tyson will provide shirts.

Requirements

Must hold a valid Class A CDL
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Must have a good driving record (No DWI's or DUI's)
* Must pass D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen
* Must be willing to run 48 states
